This week’s Rock Band downloads include a pack with tracks from punk band The Offspring, and metal bands Crooked X and Avenged Sevenfold. In terms of sales, Rock Band tracks have now been purchased over 12 million times. With the release of the Pixies album, that will bring the count of downloadable tracks for Rock Band to over 200. The album will be sold for the equivalent of $19 from June 24th on the Xbox Live Marketplace and June 26th on the PlayStation Store. Why? Because the third album to be released for the game - following The Cars self-titled album and Judas Priest’s Screaming for Vengeance - is for my all-time favorite band, the Pixies’ Doolittle.
